Spring Festival stages

It is once again that time of the year where we get ready to celebrate the Spring Festival (also known as the Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year).

Those members who can are already on their way home to their families have they wrapped up Spring Festival special stages on February 6th. Sadly, many members will not be able to make the trip home this year due to Covid-19 travel restrictions being in place in several cities and provinces.

All teams, except for BEJ48 (due to Covid-19), presented some sort of public performance before their week-long holiday.

SNH48

SNH48 teams paired up for two Spring Festival shows presented in succession on February 5th and February 6th. The first show (at top of the page) featured Team SII and Team X while Team NII and HII took the lead in the second (below). Each show was a combination of the usual fan favourites by not so usual members.

Each show also came with an announcement. The 5th saw the 2020 Theater MVPs announced and the 6th revealed the new “Xingmeng Sisters” unit featuring all the Honoured Graduates of the 1st generation who remain signed under STAR48 (except for Xu JiaQi).

CKG48

Although CKG48 had also originally planned to deliver a stage for the holiday, that was changed at the last minute into a mini-Live show. Although no official reason was provided for the change, it is assumed that Covid-19 crowd size restrictions played a role. You can watch that show below.

GNZ48

Fans in Guangzhou were not left out as their group presented two shows on the 5th and the 6th. The first show was an encore of the special joint stage offered to fans in Chongqing earlier this month titled “让您再次渝粤” while an actual Spring Festival stage between “Class 4” and “Class 8” took the stage on the second day.

Both stages can be watched in the videos below from the official “Pocket48” Youtube channel.
