First handshake for the new BEJ48

It would be an understatement to say that BEJ48 has had a rough few months.

First, they saw all three of their teams disbanded and a majority of their members sent to join SNH48 in Shanghai, then it became clear they wouldn’t be able to hang on to their Xingmeng Theater due to the severe impact Covid-19 had on the business as well as continuing restrictions in the capital.

Despite all of that, the remaining members have banded together and slowly resumed activities with the first event in October, some online activities, and finally their first fan meet/handshake event since August.

Fans gathered at a popular mall in Beijing on November 1st for a chance to encourage their idols and watch a few impromptu performances. Watch a fancam of that at the top of the page.

Below is a fancam showing the handshake event itself from a second floor vantage point.
